Bright Starts Play Mat – A Toy for Newborn & Toddler

We welcomed Bright Starts into our home two years ago after our first daughter was born.  I’ve always found their products to be so colorful with fun features, so when asked to do a review on their new play mat, I was really excited. We own many Bright Starts toys, so I knew I would love their play mat as well.  It was super easy to set up and my favorite thing about it is that my toddler loves this mat just as much as my newborn.

The play mat converts from a versatile play mat to a BALL PIT. How cool is that?! It includes 35 colorful balls that my toddler has so much fun with.

The 48 inch jumbo play mat is adjustable – walls go up or down to create a closed play environment or tummy time mat. You can see here that it fits my toddler and baby comfortably. The sides are soft and gentle to touch.

This mat has two arcs with a variety of engaging playtime toys including bead chaser, musical elephant, baby-safe mirror, a cloud rattle, crinkle fabrics and more. The musical elephant can be attached to anything too- strollers and infant carriers- which makes it versatile! I love that the toys can be used beyond the crawling stage.

What I found most impressive about this play mat is that it manages to keep a newborn AND toddler occupied, which certainly makes this mama happy! 🙂
