hi lovely!
When in Ireland, you have to take a trip to St. Patrick’s Cathedral! Saint Patrick was said to have been baptizing people over 1500 years ago when the historic site was founded in 1191. Not only is it the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland, but it’s the tallest and largest church in the Dublin.
If you’re going to Dublin, there’s no better place to stop than the Guinness Factory! The legendary brewery has been a public attraction since 2000. You can go through and learn the history of beer and visit numerous bars where you can have your own pint of Guinness! At the base of the atrium is a 9,000 year lease signed by Arthur Guinness for you to peek at.
The Dublin Zoo is one of the most popular attractions in Dublin. As you can see from my photos, I had a lovely time posing with some peacocks! Their mission is to “work in partnership with zoos worldwide to make a significant contribution to the conservation of the endangered species on Earth”. Be sure to wear some comfy walking shoes while you’re here – it’s the largest zoo in all of Ireland!
There are so many places you can catch a river dance and show in Dublin, it’s hard to choose the best one! The dance and dinner experience usually come as a package and are a great way to get a feel for Irish tradition. With world famous musicians and dancers, you’ll find yourself stepping into the traditional world of Ireland.
Finally… is it possible to visit the Emerald Isle without going to an Irish pub? Absolutely not! You can probably squeeze in a few different places during your trip to Ireland. You’ll be immersed in Irish culture, food, tradition, and of course, the whiskey. While there are many options, The Brazen Head is Ireland’s oldest pub, dating back to 1198. They are famous for their live music and award winning restaurant.
