TWO. How did we get here SO fast? I was warned. But it doesn’t make it any easier. I remember one of my girlfriends telling me when Olivia was turning ONE, that they’re still babies until they turn TWO. This made me feel better at the time. But now the day is here and it’s bittersweet.
So many things in motherhood are simply:
b i t t e r s w e e t.
That girl in the pretty pink dress was just a tiny newborn in my arms and now she’s like this mini-adult. As much as I am sad to see less baby and more toddler, this age is so much fun! She is constantly amazing us with how smart she is and clever. She makes us laugh daily. And she is the BEST big sister ever. Of course this age comes with challenges- they don’t call it the “terrible twos” for nothing. But there are more smiles than tears. The older she gets, the more exciting things become. It was adorable when she could grab her toes as a baby; I remember the moment well and how excited I was at this milestone. But it’s even cuter watching her kick the soccer ball with her Daddy. Words could never truly express how much I love this little girl of ours. I hope you enjoy the photos of her special day.
These beautiful invitations are from Sara Luke Creative. I wanted something that incorporated pumpkins, flowers, and fall. She really nailed my vision with these invitations.
This gorgeous handmade custom dress is from Ally and Annie. Olivia was supposed to wear this the entire party, but she accidentally ripped the bottom of the tulle. 🙁 Luckily, her Gigi bought her this dress the day before and it was sitting in her closet so we quickly changed her into it.
Adorable pumpkin straws and the pumpkin garland below found here.
That gorgeous bouquet is from Eco flower! The founder of this company is an inspiration. You can read her story here. She is living proof of why you should never stop chasing your dreams. I wanted a keepsake from her birthday that she could save forever. These flowers are gorgeous, they smell amazing, and the best part? Eco Flower uses recycled and sustainable materials- sola wood, birch wood, denim, pine cones, burlap, old novels, used music sheets, jewelry and many other materials that are great for our planet. Each item is handmade and made unique. This bouquet is something Olivia will have forever. Could you imagine if she used them for her wedding bouquet one day? I would be an emotional wreck thinking back to her second birthday as she’s walking down the aisle, even though I know I’ll be emotional regardless.
The birthday banner is from Paper Trail by Laura B. The beautiful fresh flowers on the cake and dessert table are from The Bouqs. I pulled out a few flowers from the bouquets to decorate the cake. I did remembered to put them on the cake as the guests were arriving. #momlife.
Party favors were cotton candy treat bags from The Cotton Candy Confectionery. We used them for her first birthday too and they were such a hit that I knew I wanted to have them again. Plus pink cotton candy is so pretty!
These square photo cards are from our friends over at Eternogram. The quality is incredible!

My wrap dress is from ASOS (see similar here)! I love shopping there because it’s next to impossible for me to go out and try clothes on with two little ones- including a breast feeding 3 month old that refuses a bottle – so leaving her behind isn’t an option. I typically purchase a bunch of dresses from ASOS and return the ones that don’t fit with the prepaid label and reusable package. Talk about making life easier.
Well, that’s a wrap. I officially have a TWO year old!! She is entertaining, bright, and fills our lives with so much joy. Thank you for sharing in our special day with our sweet girl, Olivia Marie! xo
