Spring is in the Air

We often take walks around our neighborhood with the girls, and it’s always funny for us to hear the things our two year old points out. It usually starts with, “look at all the pretty flowers!”, or “look there’s a wishy!” She’ll even remember where they are and ask to walk past the house with the pretty flowers the next day. We also always have to walk by the pond to check on the duckies. She’s an animal lover at heart.  We’ve fed them so many times (because the “duckies are so hungry”) that they will recognize us when we walk by and start making their way over.  She’s also very excited anytime she sees the trash truck, mail carrier, lawn mower, and she’s especially thrilled to see planes fly by overhead.  Seeing her face light up with excitement brings so much joy into our lives.

She’s the same way when it comes to fashion. And yep, my TWO year old is totally into fashion… all on her own.  She clearly doesn’t get it from her mama that wears work out clothes and pajamas most days. Haha. Anytime I do put on a dress for an event, she is the first to say “I love your pretty dress, Mommy!” Heart melting.

She loves her clothes and gets so excited to try on her own beautiful dresses.  My absolute go-to place for special occasion dresses is Janie & Jack. They truly spend the time and make sure their clothes are of the absolute highest quality.

I was blown away by the details on the embroidered flowers on Olivia’s dress (pictured below).  She even commented on it and said “Look at my pretty flowers, Mommy!” I quickly had a glimpse of her talking about the details on her wedding dress one day. Gosh, this mother-daughter gig is something special, I tell ya.

These mundane details are what make her world magical.

If only we could all experience life through the eyes of a two year old. xo
